Pedagogical benefits and creative play fun

Ostheimer wooden figures and wooden animals are characterized by their soft, child-friendly shapes, which train the sense of touch and contribute to the development of creativity. Compared to other toys, they create a warm, natural atmosphere and offer a haptic experience. They encourage free, creative play and invite children to re-enact stories and scenes from everyday life. They are also valuable in Waldorf education, as they support the child's natural development. The natural material and simple shapes allow children to express themselves freely and use their imagination. This promotes both their emotional development and their social skills. Ostheimer figures support children's development by stimulating creative play and being fun at the same time.

This robust wooden toy stimulates creativity and is a perfect tool for varied stories. Children can create different play worlds, from farmhouses to fairytale kingdoms. Ostheimer figures offer an impressive variety of animals and figures that allow for countless imaginative scenarios.

Manufacture and materials of the Ostheimer Zicklein

All colors used are without animal ingredients and precisely matched to the Ostheimer design. Thanks to the transparent colors, the wood grain remains visible, making each piece unique. The oil protects the colors. The design of each figurine follows a carefully created pattern and is precisely handcrafted to emphasize the uniqueness of the wood.

Warning notice: Caution! Not suitable for children under 3 years of age, as small parts can be detached or broken off and swallowed.

The Ostheimer company

For generations, Ostheimer has been carefully handcrafting figures that touch children's hearts and bring their imagination to life. Lovingly designed unique pieces are created from local wood, which radiate warmth and security. Each figurine reflects respect for nature, the joy of traditional craftsmanship and the conviction that simple, natural toys open up space for free, creative play. Ostheimer combines proven values with timeless beauty and childlike poetry.

Tradition since 1939

Ostheimer's roots go back to the year 1939. What was once founded by Margarete Ostheimer in the spirit of Waldorf education is still continued today with care and dedication. Over many decades, Ostheimer has developed into a byword for high-quality wooden toys. Each figure not only tells stories in children's play, but also the story of a family business that manufactures with heart and hand.
