Making and materials of the Ostheimer sheep

Each figure is made according to a sophisticated design with skilled craftsmanship, so that the natural wood is shown to its best advantage. The transparent, precisely coordinated colors allow the wood grain to shine through and make each piece unique. All the paints used are free from animal products - ideal for the characteristic Ostheimer design. Oil protects the colors permanently.
